Parents' Expectations for Islamic Schools: Multi-Site Study in Al Falah High School, Muhammadiyah 2 High School, and Al Hikmah High School in Surabaya

This study aims to find out what parents expect from Islamic-based schools in Al Falah High School, Muhammadiyah 2 and Hikmah School Surabaya.This uses a qualitative approach with multi-site design. The subjects this were parents, principals, deputy teachers, students at Surabaya, Indonesia. Selection of informants purposeful technique sampling snowball Data collection was carried through in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation studies. analysis used modified analytic method. While data validity is reveal credibility, transferability, dependability, confirmability. results indicated the expectation included students’ output, which refers having strong faith, awareness, obedience practicing Muslim faith tenets its good deed sunnah. Moreover, outcomes are defined as real life society, becoming imam salat, leader certain Islamic events society. concluded that parents’ fulfilled their children have religious character.
